You use your favorite feather and inkwell when compiling your logbook, and it’s for the same reason that when you’re in charge of writing in key SEO you can’t do without the the right tools!

By all the seas, imagine having to write without ink: that would be difficult or even impossible, wouldn’t it?

We’ve already talked about SEO Copywriting, which aims to produce engaging text and get search engine optimization success for all your pages.. But if after reading our guide you still don’t know where to start, don’t worry!

Today I’m going to introduce you to some indispensable tools to get you through this journey. Sit comfortably inside your cabin, take your feather in hand, fill a glass with rum and start writing.

After doing extensive research to understand what people want and, therefore, the keywords to use you have to write texts that allow you to deal with the topic in the best possible way. Try to respect first of all the necessity of the individual to find what he needs to satisfy his need, then help yourself with these tools to respect the rules of SEO optimization.

Keyword

If you are writing but don’t know if you have entered the keywords correctly within the text may help you with the SEO Writing Assistant by SemRush which gives you general information about good text optimization.

In particular, it checks the quality of the article, calculated according to:

  • readability;
  • TEXT LENGTH;
  • use of the main keyword.

But not only that! The most interesting aspect is that in addition to the possibility of insert more target keywords, you will find tips related to related keys which, when added to the text, allow you to render the content semantically complete and relevant to the topic at hand.

This list of keywords is detected on the basis of theanalysis of the main results in the SERP, which is the search engine results page, and allows you to have a starting point for working in terms of SEO copywriting.

Before you go any further though, remember to. delete meaningless keywords: It’s still a tool without heart and soul, so if you’re talking about your favorite types of Rum and it recommends the keyword water, don’t think twice before deleting it from your list.

Headings Adjustments

If you want an alternative to SemRush to check your main and secondary keyword usage I recommend the SEO Editor By SEO Tester Online that allows you to optimize:

  • TITLE;
  • contents;
  • headings;
  • miscellaneous.

Also keep in mind the tags <strong>useful for readability!

To find related searches gives you another tool: Keyword Explorer, for high potential keyword research for your website pages.

Repetitions

I suggest you use Repetition Detector which works like a spyglass, spotting and signaling… possible repetitions in the textby marking them in different colours according to their proximity to each other.

It is useful from the point of view of checking typos, but mostly to give you an idea of the SEO distribution of the main keyword and related keywords or synonyms.

If your article contains a keyword repeated too many times, so much so that it appears unnatural, it could be considered spam by search engines that could penalize not only the page in question but also the entire site, catapulting it to page 200 of Google.

Use keywords in a natural way, inserting it two or three times in the text, using synonyms and related. For the rest, all you have to do is focus on the quality and usefulness of what you write.

Readability

If your text is unreadable (also because of keywords used too many times and in the wrong way) users will run away along the horizon, thus reducing any chance of getting your goal.

You’ll also be less likely to receive inbound links, which are another very important factor for SEO and the Link Building.

To assess the reading difficulty of your text, you can rely on SemRush’s SEO Writing Assistant or Readable. Both are based on the test Flesch-Kincaid indicating whether a text is easier (high score) or less (low score) to read.

The indicator bars provide a visual guide to the readability of the text: red is a low readability score while green is easy to read.

A value between 60 and 80 should be easy to understand for a 15 year old pirate, so don’t just look at the score but try to see if it reflects your target audience: are you writing for a simple hub or a captain?

Typos

Related to readability are the errors we make while writing. These too could scare away adventurers and possible inbound links, penalizing you once again in the SERPs.

Before publishing your text, use LanguageTool and correct the typos you made from one too many bottles of rum!

Using this tool is very easy: choose the language, copy and paste your text inside and find out:

  • typo (in red);
  • some tips (in yellow).

Originality

You have to be careful with the content copied assuming a misappropriation of content, with consequences that cross the boundaries of the SEO penalization.

Any person who uses and copies the content of others is at risk of violating Google’s guidelines and the copyright protection laws. Therefore, duplicate content can cause loss of visibility in search results while copied content is penalized both automatically and manually by Google.

Use Copyscape.com which checks if your text, or rather if any text, has been copied or is already present in the journals of other captains.

Our journey ends here, but it’s time for you to get involved and use these tools for copywriters That can meet a variety of needs. Leave your opinion in the comments and recommend other must-have tools!
